Dr. Ishwar Singh

Dr. Ishwar Singh is a veteran Ophthalmologist currently functioning as Senior Consultant and Medical Director at his hospital – the Ishwar Eye Centre in Rohtak, Haryana. He graduated (MBBS) back in December 1968 from Rohtak Medical College, and then completed postgraduate speciality training (MS Ophthalmology) in March 1973 under the tutelage of renowned ophthalmologist and legendary mentor Prof. Prem Chandra.

Before setting up his own eye hospital in 1985, Dr. Ishwar Singh helped establish the Sri Mast Math Group of Eye Hospitals at Asthal Bohar (Rohtak) and Hanumangarh (Rajasthan) and served there as Chief Consultant & Medical Superintendent for over 10 years. Dr. Singh's hospital has been planned and built following the guidelines and expectations of Prof. Prem Chandra.

Dr. Ishwar Singh completed a Fellowship in IOL and refractive surgery at the Kiryu Eye Clinic in Japan in January 1990. His areas of special interest are anterior segment including phacoemulsification and IOL surgery, orbit and oculoplasty. He has been a respected member and office-bearer of several associations and bodies connected with Ophthalmology. In addition, he has authored or co-authored over 40 publications in prominent national and international journals. His contribution to the community and society includes charity work through Nanhi Devi Memorial Primary Eye Care Unit in the Dhani Phogat village in the Bhiwani district of Haryana.
